VPNPast Setup Guide

Create an account → Choose a plan → Get your subscription → Set up the client → Verify the connection. If you've completed earlier steps, use the contents list to jump to the section you need.

Interface labels vary across operating systems and clients. This guide follows the steps for your account, subscription, configuration, and connection. Refer to the current labels and locations in your dashboard and client. Don't enter your website account password in the client's subscription URL field.

Create an account and save your login details

Start by opening the account creation page in the VPNPast user dashboard. No email address is required; create an account with a username and password. Check your username for typos, then choose a password you can store securely for long-term use. A password manager can help; avoid reusing passwords from other important accounts. After submitting the form, follow the on-screen instructions to open your account area. If the form remains open, read the nearby prompts and correct the relevant field instead of submitting repeatedly.

Creating an account and activating a plan are separate steps. Access to the dashboard means you can manage your account, but your subscription is usable only when the plan status allows it. Start by reviewing the account overview and locating the plan, data usage, and subscription sections, then open the Plans area. When you switch devices later, sign in with the same account; you don't need a separate account for each device.

Your account password is for signing in to the dashboard; your subscription link provides server configuration to the client. They serve different purposes. You don't need to copy a link yet, and you shouldn't share your password with someone else to set things up. To install a Windows, macOS, Android, or Linux client, sign in and open the dashboard's Downloads section. The iOS download requirements are explained below.

Choose a plan and confirm your order

In the Plans section of the user dashboard, first decide between a monthly plan and a data pack. Monthly plans are suited to ongoing use, with data resetting each month on the activation date. Data packs are consumed as needed and never expire. These options differ in billing and how data is used, not in the number of accounts. VPNPast allows unlimited simultaneous devices, but keep an eye on your account's data usage when using multiple devices.

Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packs: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, or ¥658 for 3000GB. Estimate your typical data needs, then choose the matching option in the dashboard. Streaming video, downloading files, and everyday browsing use different amounts of data, so don't base your choice on the number of devices alone. See the pricing page for all options and terms.

After choosing a plan, open the order confirmation page and check the plan name, amount, and billing method. Then select Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT on the payment page. Once payment is complete, return to the user dashboard and confirm that the order and plan status have updated before getting your subscription. If the payment status hasn't appeared yet, refresh the order status and check existing orders. Don't pay again just to make the page update. If you can't verify an order, submit a support ticket through the dashboard.

VPNPast offers a 14-day money-back guarantee. See the Terms of Service for details on how to request a refund. If you need to upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; check the result shown in the dashboard before proceeding. Then open your account overview and confirm that the plan status matches your selection.

Get your subscription from the account overview

Open the account overview in the user dashboard and find the subscription section. A subscription isn't a list of servers to enter manually; it's how your client gets its configuration. Available regions and routes appear after the client reads it. Before importing, check that your plan is active and your data allowance looks right. If the subscription section asks you to resolve a plan issue, do that before trying to import.

If the dashboard offers a quick import option for your client, select it, allow your browser to open the client, and confirm the import there. If the browser doesn't launch the app, copy the subscription link instead. Return to the overview, copy the link, open the client's subscription or configuration section, and choose the option to import from a link. Copy the entire link; don't remove any parameters at the end or use the dashboard webpage address as the subscription link.

Give the link to the client you're using; don't open it in your browser's address bar. This guide doesn't display a usable subscription link. Always get your own from your account overview. Import it soon after copying so another clipboard action doesn't replace it. After the client adds the subscription, you may need to read or refresh the configuration. The step is complete when the route names appear.

Treat your subscription link like account credentials. Don't post it in group chats, screenshots, forums, or online testing tools. If you need to report a problem, share the error message and steps you took. Before sending a screenshot, hide the subscription link and account details.

Set up the client for your platform

All client downloads are available in the user dashboard. Open the Downloads section, choose the VPNPast client for your device's operating system, and follow the instructions on that page. You can access the Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux clients after signing in; you don't need a paid plan to download them. Getting a client and getting a usable subscription are separate steps. Confirm your plan and get your subscription as described above before importing.

The steps below cover common workflows; button labels may differ slightly. If the client has already loaded your account subscription and shows routes, there's no need to add it again. If the configuration is blank, look for options such as Subscription, Configuration, Add, or Import. After each step, confirm the configuration is present before connecting.

Windows: Add a subscription and select a configuration

Get the Windows version of the VPNPast client from the dashboard, follow the installer prompts, and open the app. Go to Configuration Management or Subscriptions and look for an option such as Add Subscription or Import from Link. Paste the complete subscription link copied from your account overview. If asked to name the configuration, choose a name you can recognize; this is just a label, not a place to enter your password.

Save the subscription, then refresh or load the configuration and wait for the region and route names to appear. Some clients can save multiple configurations. Make sure the active one is the VPNPast subscription you just added, not an older configuration. Choose a route, then enable the system proxy or connection feature as prompted by the client. Avoid running multiple clients that can take over your system's network at the same time, as this can make the results harder to diagnose.

macOS: Import a configuration and allow network settings

Get the macOS client for your device from the dashboard's Downloads section, then install it as instructed. When you first open it, follow the usual macOS prompts for app and network permissions. If you can't continue, check the download source and dashboard instructions; don't disable system protections just to launch the app. Open the subscription or configuration section, choose the option to add from a link, paste your subscription, and save.

When using the dashboard's quick import option, your browser may ask whether to open the client. Make sure it's the right app, then return to the client and check the route list. If the configuration was imported but the webpage hasn't changed, confirm that the configuration is selected and that the connection or system proxy is enabled. A client icon in the menu bar only means the app is running; it doesn't by itself confirm that the network connection is working.

Android: Import a subscription and approve the system connection request

Sign in to the user dashboard and get the Android version of the VPNPast client from the Downloads section. Install it as prompted by your device, then open the client's configuration or subscription section. Choose Import from Link, paste the subscription you copied, and save it. Then refresh the configuration. If the quick import option doesn't open the client, check whether the subscription was already added before trying a manual paste to avoid duplicates.

Once the route list appears, choose a region and connect. The first connection may prompt you to approve a system VPN connection request; check the app name before allowing it. If the system says another network connection is in use, check whether another similar app is connected. Keep the client running while you switch to your browser to test access; don't close it in the background right after connecting. If the connection has issues after switching networks, return to the client and check its current status.

iOS: Get the client and add a configuration from the dashboard

Get the iOS client through the App Store link provided in the dashboard. The download link is available only to accounts with an active, purchased plan. If the page asks you to resolve a plan issue first, return to the Plans section, check your status, and try again. Use the link and instructions currently shown in the dashboard. Don't rely on search results for similarly named apps or apply installation steps for other platforms to iOS.

After installing the app, return to the dashboard and try the matching import option. Alternatively, copy the subscription link and paste it into the client's Subscription, Configuration, or Add from Link section. Confirm that the configuration loads and the routes appear, then select a route and connect. If the system asks permission to add a VPN configuration, check the app's source and follow the prompt. You can usually switch routes in the client later without returning to the dashboard to copy the subscription again.

Using Linux and other devices

VPNPast also supports Linux. Sign in to the dashboard, open the Downloads section, and follow the instructions provided there to configure the client. Use the download intended for each platform rather than copying an installer from another operating system. VPNPast allows unlimited simultaneous devices. After setting up another device, check its connection in the client and keep an eye on data usage in your account.

Get the client

Connect and verify the connection

Once the import is complete, choose a route in the client and connect. If it's your first time, start with a region suited to what you want to access; there's no need to switch through several regions. VPNPast covers 90+ countries and 250+ routes. The available list depends on what your current subscription loads. See the network routes page for route types. To get started, confirm that a website loads successfully, then adjust your choice for your specific needs.

Verify both the client status and actual access. First check that the client shows an active connection, the right configuration, and your selected route. Then open your browser and visit the website you want to use. If it loads normally, try the action you need, such as signing in or playing a video. An enabled connection switch alone doesn't prove that every app is using the connection. Conversely, one website failing to load doesn't necessarily mean the subscription import failed.

If the route list is empty, return to the configuration section and check that the subscription is complete and has updated successfully. Then check your plan status in the dashboard. If the list looks normal but websites won't open, first confirm that your local network can access ordinary websites. Then check whether the system proxy or VPN connection is enabled, and close any other apps that may also be taking over the network. Change only one route at a time when testing; this makes it easier to identify the cause than reinstalling the app, changing the configuration, and adjusting network settings all at once.

If regular websites work but a streaming service still shows a region warning, check the region detected by the platform, account requirements, or app cache; the connection button alone can't confirm access. This guide doesn't cover platform errors or region detection in detail. For these issues, see the streaming guide and troubleshoot according to what you're seeing on the specific platform. Don't create accounts repeatedly or place duplicate orders while troubleshooting.

After verifying your connection, keep the configuration you're using. Next time you open the client, check your plan and configuration status before connecting to the route you need. If the route list changes, use the client's subscription update option to refresh it. For help, open a support ticket in the dashboard and include your device's operating system, where the problem occurred, the error message, and what happened after switching routes. This context makes troubleshooting easier than simply saying “it doesn't work.” Before submitting, hide your subscription link and password.
